Shallotte Point Vol. Fire Department is now Accepting Applications for 2 Full Time Firefighters Position. 

Shift Type: 24  on &  72 Off 

Starting Salary Range: $ 43,500+ (depending on qualifications) and overtime

As an employee of the Shallotte Point Volunteer Fire Department you will respond to various Emergencies.  The Firefighter is expected to perform any task that the Emergency Situation dictates, including but not limited to Structural Firefighting, Fire Alarms, Vehicle Fires, Woods Fire, Rescues, Emergency Medicals and or other incident response operations.  

 

Work Includes: Performing all firefighting duties to the level of your experience, Maintaining Fire Station, Yard and Grounds Maintenance, Perform Daily checks on all Fire Apparatus and Equipment, Testing of all Equipment, Fire Hose, Fire Hydrants. The Firefighter will be directly accountable to the fire chief for all work performed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must Possess a High School Diploma or GED                                                                                                  
  • Must have a NC Firefighter 2/IFSAC/Pro-Board Certification.       
  • Must have a NC Fire Apparatus Driver-Operator Certification/or ability to obtain within 1 year of the date of hire.
  • NC Emergency Vehicle Driver/ or ability to obtain within 1 year of the date of hire
  • NC Class B Drivers License
  • NC Hazardous Materials Responder Certification
  • NIMS ICS 100,200 700,800
  • Have a Minimum Of NC Medical Responder/ EMT B Certification
  • Some Knowledge in Emergency Reporting.                        
  • Must Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Have a Minimum of Three Years Experience in FireFighting
  • Must have a NC Firefighter Certification
  • Must have a NC Fire Apparatus Driver-Operator Certification
  • NC Emergency Vehicle Driver
  • NC Class B Drivers License
  • NC Hazardous Materials Responder Certification
  • Have a Minimum Of NC Medical Responder Certification or Higher
  • Some Knowledge in Emergency Reporting
